Paint Rebate Program

Overview

This program is for EXTERIOR PAINT ONLY.

Eligibility requirements

           🏠 Subject property must be primary residence.
           🖌️ Paint only needs to be 25% or more in need of painting when the officer goes and takes before photos after the application is submitted.
           ❌ There are no municipal/county liens, or open permits. 
           ❌ There are no judgments or encumbrances of any kind.
           ❌ Condominiums are NOT eligible for this program.

Note: Application processing will continue until funds have been exhausted.


Application Process

Step 1: Complete Application

  • 1️⃣ Bring your application to our offices located at:

    Community Development Department
    7525 NW 88th Avenue, Room 205
    Tamarac, FL 33321
  • 2️⃣ Code will verify paint request, take pictures and generate case.
  • 3️⃣ Code will evaluate home and abide by City of Tamarac Code of Ordinance section 9-130 residential property maintenance section (d) subsection (10) 25% in need of painting.
  • 4️⃣ Code Officer will verify paint deficiency generate a case file which will serve as tracking and monitoring.
  • 5️⃣ An email will be sent containing the decision on the submitted application.

Note: Applications will be accepted and processed on a first-ready, first-served basis.

Step 2: Buy PAINT

🖌 Owner of properties will purchase paint.

💵 Owner will pay upfront for the paint.

Note: Maximum amount that can be purchased is five (5) gallons, not to exceed $500 dollars.
‼️ The reimbursement covers paint only, no brushes, painters, drop cloths, tax, etc.

Step 3: Submit Receipt

✔ Once painting is complete, Submit Receipt to the Code Compliance Division. They can be submitted at the office or email

Step 4: Receive a Rebate

✅ Code Compliance will verify the completed project and process the rebate.
